STUDENT WORK POLICY
All work must be handed in on time and done neatly with all work shown or it will be returned to you to do over.  I'm concerned about you being able to follow the procedures that I teach and perform the math yourselves.  There will be times that your calculators can do the math for you, but I still want to see your work for each problem.  There is a logic pattern that I'm looking for that will ensure your success down the road.

There are a couple of ways to get homework to me.  After all this is the online age...

  • Bring your homework to school and put it into the basket.

  • Turn in your homework electronically.  This won't apply to every assignment, but there are many of the worksheets available on this website, and I'll be adding more all the time.  You may download any of the worksheets and then work the problems on the computer.  Then attach the results to an e-mail and send me the results.  Also, you can download any of the worksheets and print them out and then work the problems.  Please save your work as a Microsoft Word file (text file works well too).  I'm working on other possibilities as well.

There are some routine assignments that we will do often or every chapter.  Most days, you can expect to begin the block by writing in your journals upon entry to class.  This writing assignment will be written on the board, and is called a "bell-ringer".  After the writing period is completed we will then discuss several student's accounts.  The writing should be done in your bound notebook, and will be accumulated over the year.  I will periodically grade your journals for completion.
