Myron was a Greek sculptor who was known for one of the most famous Greek sculptures " The Discobolus" which means the discus thrower.  Myron sculpted approximately. 450BC.  His style is considered that of the classical style because statues during this time often show movement.

The Discus Thrower was created by Myron around 450 BC and was originally a bronze sculpture.  Later, the Romans copied it and sculpted it in marble.  The Discus Thrower shows a male Olympian throwing a Discus.  The sculpture is in the Classical Style which in Greek terms shows movement.  Statues before this period were often stiff show little or no movement.
