Picasso was born on October 25, 1881, in Málaga, Spain. As the son of an
academic painter, José Ruiz Blanco, he began to draw at an early age.
Picasso had many stages and styles to his paintings. He had a
period known as a "Blue Period" where many of his
paintings were very dark and blue in color. Other periods include a "Rose Period" as well has his most famous period
called his "Abstract" or "Cubist Periods".
Picasso's works covered many subjects and he is considered one of
the most famous artist of the 20th century.
