Scan Converters

Scan Converters are peripherals used with your computer and your television.  When it's hooked up, many may view whatever is appearing on your monitor on your television set.   In other words, whatever you see on your monitor can be seen on the television as well.  The most common brand of scan converter used by Fayette County is the AVerKey as seen below.

A scan converter can open a door to allow teachers to be more creative in teaching lessons.  Basically, you can do just about anything on the computer that you do on the chalkboard or overhead projector.  Below is a list of ideas of how to effectively use this peripheral.
