As
you know by now, the World Wide Web holds an endless amount of
information just waiting for us to discover. One can visit
many parts of the world without leaving the classroom. Why
one can even communicate live with scientists half way across
the world! Best of all, it's free! Why not take advantage
of it?
Where
do I start integrating the web into my units of study?
Probably the best way to start your
integration is by starting out small until you feel
comfortable with this step. One suggestion is to use your
classroom computers as a center. Here students can read
more about the topics they are studying. Using search
engines to find information, bookmark or open up the
web site before students go to the center. Students can
take notes or interact with the web site in order to enhance
their learning experience. Be sure to use a scan
converter with the class as a whole to preview the
website together before students go to the center.
Wow, that was easy! What can I do
next?
Way to go! I knew you could
do it! Now you have many choices! It's all up to you and
your creativity now. Before you move to this step,
remember to choose one and get comfortable using the format.
