Solve using all three methods we have studied (box-and-dot, table, and graphing):

(1) 2x + 7 = 5x + 1 (6) x + 2x = 12

(2) 4x + 1 = x + 4 (7) 3x = 2(x + 4)

(3) 2x – 3 = x + 3 (8) 5(x + 1) = 2(x + 3)

(4) 3x + 2 = 11 (9) 3x – x + 4 = x + 6

(5) 5x – 3 = 2x (10) 5x – 2 = x – 6

Note that these problems were initially given as classwork on Friday, and some of these were presented in class today; the homework assignment is simply to finish the remaining problems.
