ABOUT
MRS. JACKSON
HI TO
ALL. I am so happy to be your child's
teacher this year. It is a wonderful class
and I know that everyone will soar to 84 and
beyond.
I have
been at Tates Creek since 1978 when my oldest
daughter started here, in some capacity or
another. I was a volunteer forever, and a
kindergarten assistant 1986-1993. It was
while doing that job that I decided to go back
to school. I now have my undergraduate
degree in elementary k-6, my master's in Library
Science, and my National Board Certification.
I am
married to Kirk, who is now a retired Lexington
firefighter. He spent 27 years doing that
and was known in his position as Captain Kirk.
I have
two daughters, Angela and Amy. Angela is
married with one little boy named Jackson who is
the delight of my life. She teaches
moderate to severe disabilities in Clark County
and her husband is a special ed teacher there.
Amy lives in Nashville, Tn and works for
ticketmaster. She loves the music
industry and is right where she needs to be.
She is not married but does have 2 dogs.
One of
my greatest joys in life is to see your child
succeed. That is my goal for each child
who enters my classroom. With your help
that WILL happen this year.
My
hobbies are reading, playing with my dog, Daisy,
shopping, and spending time and money on my
adorable grandson. My favorite vacation is
to the beach, any beach will do. I will be
there on spring break.
