KCTM is pleased to have Melendy Lovett, President of Educational & Productivity Solutions for Texas Instruments, as this year's Featured Keynote Speaker. In her presentation, "Closing the Achievement Gap in Mathematics," Ms. Lovett will discuss concerns that exist in education in Kentucky and throughout the nation.She accepted the invitation to speak at this conference last November and has used the past year to gather relevant information about our state schools, teachers, and students. In addition to interesting information and data, her session will include video footage that was filmed in local classrooms.Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear from a national leader in business who also has a strong interest in mathematics education in Kentucky.Session times: Friday from 3:10 to 4:35 and Saturday from 9:40 to 11:05.

Melendy Lovett is President of Texas Instruments (TI) Educational & Productivity Solutions (E&PS) business and Senior Vice President of Texas Instruments, Incorporated. She has worldwide responsibility for TI’s leadership position in math and science educational technology and professional development, and is also a member of TI’s strategic leadership team.
Lovett has a long-standing personal commitment and passion for math and science education. She helped found, and currently leads an initiative of TI women who are working to improve math and science education for girls in elementary through high school.
Lovett is a Certified Public Accountant with a Masters degree in Accounting from UTD and a Bachelor's degree in Management and Management Information Systems from Texas A&M.
