COUNTS THEME THIS YEAR IS “Going Places With Books”. We will focus on books that teach us about
the world and other cultures as well as maps and globes. Students may bring in a photo of themselves
in another place in the world (on vacation, visiting relatives, etc.) for our

Bring in books February 9-10 to exchange during I Love To Read
Week. Take them to the front hall in the morning. For every 2 books
brought in, one book can be chosen. The other one will go to the
International Book Project and a Lexington tutoring service for struggling
readers. **Teachers may arrange to have parents or other special guests to
come in and read to the class. Friday, February 19 – PAJAMA DAY - Wear your PJs to school, bring
a pillow, and plan to spend some time reading and listening to guest
readers. Parents, if you would like to
be a guest reader, contact a teacher to set up a time. 18th–Literacy Night |
