Ongoing Activities

The StorySpinners come to the library every Tuesday to recreate and act out stories with the lower and upper primary students.  They use folktales, fables, and children's literature to develop a script to act out using simple props.  After the StorySpinners ,present their play, then the students get a chance to act it out for their class.  This year they are beginning the year with a fable written by two upper primary students.

Our Reading Counts reward program will be the first Friday of every other month starting in October.  See Calendar of Events page for exact dates.

Margo Ratliff with the Spellbinders Program visits each month with different classes to tell stories.

 

  Our VPE Library mission is to make every student an informed user of libraries by using a card catalog to find a book, knowing the various sections of a library, how they are arranged and what they offer; being a knowledgeable and safe user of the Internet, and, best of all, a lifelong reader.
