Classroom Information

Class schedule

Supply List

• 24 #2 pencils to be used during the year (bring 3 or 4 at a time)
• Colored pencils (for map work)
• Package of red grading pens (bring 1 or 2 at a time)
• 2 dry erase markers and an eraser. (A clean sock can be used for an eraser; it also holds the markers nicely.) I supply the marker boards
• 1 ruler with both inches and centimeters
• 1 school box - size about 5" x 8" x 2½" (May also want zipper case or zip lock bag to hold pencils)
• Backpack (no wheels)
• 1 pair of scissors
• 2 glue sticks (no bottles of glue due to the mess it causes)
• Crayons and/or markers
• 3 composition notebooks (wide ruled) not spiral notebooks

For the Room

• 1 package of white, wide ruled (not college ruled) paper (for the room)
• 2 packages of lined 3x5 index cards (for the room) for making of flash cards (only one package was requested on the first list)
• 3 large boxes of tissues (for the room)
• 1 bottle of hand sanitizer (for the room, 8 oz. or larger)

Please label all of these before the first day of school with a black permanent marker.

School Policies

• Always send money to school in a sealed, labeled envelope.
• If your child is absent, leaves early, or is tardy, make sure you send in a note when he or she returns to school.
• All exterior doors will be locked when school begins except for the office entrance. Please do not ask anyone to open a door for you. This is for your child's safety.
• Make sure you check into the office and get a guest sticker before coming up to the room.
• All changes in transportation must be in writing.

Conferences

Fall Conferences will be Tuesday, September 29, 2009 through October 14th. The green conference request went home Thursday, September the 24th. I am looking forward to meeting with all my parents and guardians!
