Tickets

Discipline is upheld with a system based upon tickets. Each student begins each day with five tickets. Students must pull tickets for inappropriate behavior. Consequences and rewards are based on the number of tickets left.

One ticket is pulled for:

  • Each of the five classroom rules broken
  • Inappropriate behavior in Special Areas
  • Inappropriate bathroom behavior
  • Inappropriate cafeteria behavior
  • Inappropriate hallway behavior


Behavior Consequences

Consequences for pulled tickets:

  • First ticket: Warning
  • Second Ticket: Student/teacher conference
  • Third ticket: Note home or phone call
  • Fourth ticket: Time out of room
  • Fifth ticket: Referral to office for discipline


Rewards

Individual and classroom rewards for good behavior:

  1. Only having zero or one tickets pulled weekly: permission to participate in the Lunch Bunch on Fridays
  2. Every ten classroom compliments: the class receives a Special Reward from the teacher
