ART INFORMATION

Welcome back!

We are jumping right back into things in the art room and will be working in the third dimension, first with clay and then with papier-mâché sculptures.  Please plan on some messy art days during the month on January.

In February we will begin our third annual Arts Enrichment Program.  It runs from Feb. 12th through March 20th with the Arts Night Showcase on March 27th and Arts Day on March 28th.  This program offers classes in visual arts, music, dance, and drama to our 2nd through 5th graders.  These classes are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:45-3:45 so be sure to look for the brochure and sign up quickly for the classes your children would like to participate in.

We are still looking for volunteers to help us during this time, so if you are interested and available any of the days mentioned above, please drop me a note miah.confer@fayette.kyschools.us.  We are also interested in offering a parent taught K/1 art or music class so that these students can also participate but we can only do that if we get volunteers so let me know if this is something you can help with.

I am looking forward to an Arts filled spring and I hope you are too.
