JME-TV on KET's Blog!

Educational Technology Standards

Each and every morning at 7:15, members of the JME-TV News Crew begin production of our daily newscast!   Students serve as anchors, audio technicians, switchers, floor directors, video editors, office managers, meteorologists and videographers!   Students also come in throughout the day as time permits (recess, reward time, etc.)  and after school to work on JME-TV and other special video projects!  The really cool part is, students teach students how to shoot, capture and edit video..... and they are terrific teachers!

We have competed in the STLP State Competition for the past five years at Heritage Hall!  Students worked hard to make sure our JME-TV presentation was one of the best in the state! 

The News Crew changes monthly so all 5th graders get a chance to be a part of our news team!
