Industrial Uses of Enzymes

Start reading product labels when you are at the grocery store (or at home)- look for products that contain enzymes.  Bring in the label in addition to a summary of what that enzyme does for the product.  Make  sure to cite sources! 

Value: 5 points per label, no more than three labels.  Due: 12/12 (regardless of A or B)

 

Food Preservation

Find an example of one of these food preservation processes.  You must locate a recipe, a picture of the product, EXPLAIN the preservation process, and figure out the origin of the recipe (i.e. country, and time period if possible).  You MUST cite your sources.  I will only accept one per person, and it must be a food that no one else has located yet (i.e. no duplicates).  Due: 12/18 for both A and B days.
