How long have you been teaching?
 | I am in my SEVENTH year of teaching! I spent two years
teaching at Boyle
County High School in Danville, KY, and have been at TCHS ever
since! |
Where did you go to college?
Are you married?
 | Yes! (That's why I am a "mrs"!) I got married in 2000 to
my high school sweetie. He's an archaeologist and works for UK. |
Do you have any kids?
 | I just had my first child in July of 2007!!! Quite an adventure! |
Here
she is at 3 months!
Do you have any pets?
 | Yes! I have two dogs...used to have a saltwater tank. :o( |
Have you had any other jobs, besides teaching?
OF COURSE! I have done all of the
following...
 | Exhibit Specialist for the Cavern - Cincinnati
Museum of Natural History and Science where I worked with adolescents,
the general public, and the wild bat colony. |
 | Seasonal Naturalist for California Woods Nature Preserve (a Cincinnati
Park) |
 | Laboratory Assistant for Dr.
George Uetz - Arachnologist (University of Cincinnati) |
 | In-vitro Fertilization Technician for University Hospital (Cincinnati) |
 | Plus various other odds and ends jobs - sales clerk at Bed, Bath, and
Beyond..."File Girl" for a doctor's office, "Line Girl"
for Coney Island's Catering, "Lab Rat" for CMNH&S, and I've worked for TCBY and Uno's Restaurant! |
Why are you a teacher?
 | I wanted to save the world, one
student at a time by helping create a community of analytical consumers. I want students to learn to think critically -
engage their brain when making decisions! I also wanted to do my part
to provide for a better tomorrow. |
