Homework Assignments

Homework will be sent home on Mondays.  Students will receive a packet with math and reading/spelling.  This packet will be due on Friday morning.  Students will have the entire week to complete the homework packets.  If your child finishes their packet before Friday they may bring it in to turn in early! 

Reading Logs

Students also have a nightly reading assignment.  Students are to choose a book to read each night.  They may choose individual books each night or choose chapter books to read over the course of time.  If your child chooses a chapter book for their nightly reading assignment they need to read one chapter a night.  If we are practicing for a reader's theater performance they may record that practice for their nightly reading homework.  Please record what they read in their reading logs!  Reading logs are the front page of their homework packet.
