sites on their trip. Visit each of these sites
virtually to see what students will be learning while
there.

Take this

Tour of Washington DC. Click on each of
the buildings for a brief description. Answer the
questions on your sheet.
- Read about
landmarks in Washington, D.C. by clicking on the
following:
Land Marks and Attractions and answer the
questions on your sheet. (If a screen pops up and
ask you to debug something, press yes. The website
should appear shortly.)

National Air and Space Museum--There are
currently several exhibitions in the National Mall
building of this museum. Browse through a few
of the exhibits and list three things that you have
learned or that you found most interesting.

The National Mall includes
7 famous monuments. Visit the links of each
and write one thing you find interesting about each
monument.
- Take this
Virtual Tour of Supreme Court Building.
Scroll to the top of the page and click on "Tour." Be sure to read the
directions on the first page on how to navigate
through the tour. Click on some of the 'hot
spots' and explore the building. Be sure to
visit the courtroom and the chambers of Justice
Ginsburg and Justice Stevens. Write at least
five interesting pieces of information that you
learned about the Supreme Court Building on your paper.

chose and the most interesting thing you learned.

(Make sure you

assassinate Abraham Lincoln. Visit
Petersen's Boarding House
to learn about his
death.
Draw a timeline on
your paper listing the events leading up to
Lincoln’s death.
- Read about the
Ronald Reagan Building and describe what its
purpose is.
- Visit
Mount Vernon. Then
click on the
Virtual Mansion Tour and launch the
Flash tour.
- Next, go to the National
Archives and visit some of the
online exhibits.

- Go to the Bureau of
Engraving and Printing. Try to
Catch the Counterfeiter and play the
Treasure Trivia Hunt game.
- The last stop is the
Washington National Cathedral. Take the
Virtual Tour to view and read about the High
Altar, Crossing, the two chapels and the West Front.
