Reading in May! Students are reviewing various genres of reading and the authors' purpose for writing.  They will identify literary devices such as foreshadowing, imagery, or figurative language (similes, metaphors, and personification.)

Math in May!  We will continue to practice and hone our math skills in all areas! We will be exploring probability and the use of charts and graphs in Math.

Science in May  We will continue to focus on physical science with force and motion. We hope to build some exciting ramps to explain the principles of force and motion.

 Writing in May! Students are revising their writing portfolios and selecting their favorite pieces to add to their permanent portfolio.

 Social Studies in May!  We will examine the culture of different countries including Mexico and Canada.

 

Thanks for the donations of snacks! We have really enjoyed them and they help the students stay focused during our long instructional block in the morning before lunch!!  Again thanks for sharing your wonderful students with me!!
