Welcome to my classroom website.
My classroom is a community of learners who share mutual respect for everyone who enters our classroom. We are active learners, who solve problems through cooperative learning and hands-on experiences. Children are challenged to expand their knowledge base and understanding of many concepts. The teacher, students and parents are a team working together to meet individual needs and to ensure that every student becomes a lifelong learner.
Personal
I was born and raised in Lexington, KY, by my mother, after my father died.
I have a twin sister named Shana. I enjoy spending time with
my family. You may sometimes see me with my little cousin, Kahlan. She
spends many weekends with me. I enjoy traveling the United States and
taking pictures. I have recently traveled to London, England and Paris,
France. Chicago, IL and Charleston, SC are my favorite places to
visit in the United States.
Professional
I graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 1999 with a BA in Elementary
Education. I also attended Eastern Kentucky University, where I received my
Masters in Educational Leadership. I have been at Picadome since August
1999. I have taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades.
