Homework
The homework folder and journal should be brought to school daily. When your child finishes homework please take a moment to look it over and guide your child in correcting any errors. If homework is approached in this manner you will be able to monitor your child’s work and progress on a weekly basis. You will also become aware of your child’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as help your child develop good study habits and the initiative to become a life-long learner. Occasionally, your child may need some assistance from you with homework. On these occasions take the opportunity to prompt your child, ask questions, and help your child understand the concept by doing some similar examples of your own.
