Pickles By Abby T., 6th grade “Pickles” said Mrs. Pepper as she told Cassy and me what to do our project on. “My mom knew the person who invented them” said Zoe (aka Mrs. Popular). “That’s nice” said our teacher, but Zoe kept going “My mom’s sister’s brother’s dad is…. bla bla bla” I zoned out. “Hello, Earth to Carra.” “W-w-what the.” “Incase some of us didn’t hear (cough) Carra, our projects are due on the 31st of this month. NO later and hopefully earlier.” What is the deal with pickles? I mean there are just soggy, gross and disgusting pickled cucumbers. No one that I know would want to know all about a soggy, gross cucumber. Well all I know is that I do not want and nether dose Cassy. I would rather write a report on the plants then write a report on pickles. Well here it goes I am calling Cassy about our project. “Halla” “What’s up?” (A few hours (or minuets I can’t tell) later.) “By By” “See you later” Well that was a complete waste of time. All she wanted to talk about was her new boyfriend. His name is Jeff and today there went here and did this and did that, but you know what I don’t care! All I care about is getting an A on the project. Well it is time for me to go to sleep. “Wake up” said mom as she tried to wake me up. “I have a visitor for you her name is Cassy.” I opened my eyes, ran into the bathroom, got dressed and ran down stairs. I must have put something on backward because as soon as I got down stairs Cassy and my dad broke out laughing. Cassy said in between giggles “I wanted to come over and talk about our project.” Soon I had put my shirt on the right way Cassy and I were discussing our project. We started it and soon in no time at all we were done. We practiced presenting our project. Cassy had breakfast; lunch and dinner at my house be for I knew it I was having a sleepover with her. She went home and called me to talk about the project. The next day when our teacher asked who wanted to go first Zoe of course raised her hand but she called on us. We presented and before we knew it were the best of friends. The next few weeks we were hanging out then before we knew it we were getting an A on our project. Soon I became one of the happiest girls. Next year this same thing happened well sort of. Cassy and I had a project on pickles but this time we had Zoe with us. Of course she didn’t want to do it so Cassy and I did the whole thing. She got in so much trouble that well you know things happened. That is another story all together. An original story by me Cattie… By
