Anger

By:  Aidan, 5th grade

Anger

Is a primal being

Filled with a burning

Rage

That will consume

Even the most controlled being

In a fit of

Of inhuman emotion

For what is anger

But an engine

Of

Destruction,

A tearing, snarling,

Rabid thing

With only a single thought

 Coursing through its empty head:

Devour.

For what is anger

But a senseless

Herald of sweeping

Emotion,

Roaring through

Stronger than any storm

Mother Nature could cook up.

For what is anger

But a feeling that will bury you

Under a pile of guilt-laden bones

And drown you in a flood

Of grief-struck blood

For what is anger

But a primal being

Capable of no thought,

Only action

For what is anger

But a thing of

Only the darkest nightmares

Yet it comes

In great spashes

Of roaring grief.
