The Mystery Nights

The night was here. It was a huge work (meeting) dinner. It was time to leave, and I couldn’t find my car keys. Then I called my boss and asked if he could pick me up. He answered and said NO. I thought that was odd because I didn’t even ask him a question and he was one of the nicest people I know. Finally I found my car keys. I left and I was inches away from hitting someone. Then I got in to the restaurant. My boss got an appetizer that had almonds in it and I am highly allergic to them. I didn’t know that it had almonds in it and I took a bite. I started to swell up and I couldn’t swallow and I barely breathe. My partner knew that I was allergic to almonds. She asked my boss if his appetizer had almonds in it. He said “yea, why?” Then she told him she was allergic to almonds. He called 911 right then. The paramedics arrived about 10 minutes later. The paramedics put me on a stretcher. They put me in to the ambulance, Jane, my partner came with me. When I got to the hospital Jane called my parents to come down to the hospital and she told them what had happened. Luckily they got there quick.

By the time the nurse came in to the room I was awake and could talk and move around. I wanted to go home but the nurse told me I had to stay longer to make sure I was really ok. Finally about an hour and a half later I was allowed to go home. My mom drove me home.  When I got home I changed into my pajamas and brushed my teeth then got in to bed. During the night I had the worst nightmare. It was my sister pushing me off a cliff and I hit my head and died. I woke up screaming and saying NO, NO, NO. That was at 2:30 in the morning and I didn’t fall back asleep until 3:45. Then I woke up at 7:30 to go to work.

          When I was on my way to work I almost got rear ended. When I got to work my boss said that we had a meeting at 12:00. When I got to the meeting my boss told me to get my power point up on the computer. I told him that he never told me to do a power point for this meeting and he never told me that we had a meeting until today. He said he told me when I was in the hospital. I said that I don’t even remember him telling me that. Then he said “YOUR FIRED!!!” 

          I took all of my stuff out of my office and left. I called my mom and told her what happened.  She told me that she would look for jobs for me. A few hours later my mom told me that she found me a job.  I was so excited my bad luck has finally ended!!!!!
