D-day-The signal of life and death

Avery, 4th grade

D-day was being prepared general George Taylor watched as men loaded ammo, and gear on the fighter planes and boats he knew that the invasion would be virtually impossible he went over to a trooper “you think we can pull it off” he said

“Sure” said the solder “as long as we can shoot down the guns from above”  I never thought of it that way thought general George he decided to for general Eisenhower for a phony attack to fool the German’s  he approved George got onto a boat for a counter attack he was out of it early. German machine guns were firing all around “get down those guns” he yelled men all over ran for cover general George knew they wouldn’t be able to take it he ordered two GI’s to get the cannons ready but it was too late. Sparks were flying the two GI’s shook the ship began to slant and the back of the ship blew to smithereens general George knew they had to take out the guns or the invasion would be a complete failure…….

George couldn’t really do anything all around him ships were blowing to pieces and his ship was almost entirely under the water he ran to the very top of his ship and took his flare gun he shot it up it blew through 2 Japanese airplanes and exploded into the sky an nearby soviet union aircraft carrier saw the flare and sent 57 airplanes and 6 battle ships to take out the aircraft general George the planes wiped out the Japanese  George and the rest of his crew got on a battle ship and signaled for the invasion to begin……….

George switched battle ships they were about 20 meters from land when they got off the ships were too far away to be shot and paratroopers were taking the main guns from above suddenly the brick walls defending German walls blew up behind it were some flour bags “an optical of illusion “he said some Japanese troops were sneaking behind them BOOOOOMMMMMMM!!! The flour bags had dynamite in them general George turned around and ran at them.

“Get down” he said he threw a grenade and yelled “Attack!!!!” they all ran back to the boats and landed on Omaha beach that was NOT a trick 6,000 Japanese troops were standing there “Now!-Now!-Now!” he yelled all the men attacked it was a gory, bloody, terrible battle but the allied troops managed to fight them off but there were 600 dead 88 captured witch only left about 7,090 men but it was a success half the Japanese had surrendered and almost all of the rest were dead……
