Avery, 4th grade                                                      

“Wake up Toby!” Toby’s mother yelled “were going to papas”

          “Unngg” moaned Toby “you better be up in five minutes or I’m coming up” said his mom. Toby got out of bed put on his clothes and went downstairs.

“We’ll look who’s finally up” said his mother Toby decided to trick his mom into keeping him from going “I heard the weathers going to be bad” he said.

“Nice try” said Toby’s mother gleefully “The weathers going to be great.” Toby knew this was one battle he could not win so he got into the car.

“Don’t mope this will fun” said Toby’s father but suddenly on the radio it said “Attention! Attention! Poland is under attack by Germans I repeat Poland is under attack”

“What!” said Toby’s father. The radio went on “get to the nearest shhhhhhhhh” the radio stopped Toby looked around a German officer had shot through the glass of the car and hit the radio he was still gluching his hand gun Toby nearly fell back in his seat.

“Outside now!” said the officer Toby’s father fell out the door in a heap three artillery men struck him with a rapier Toby watched in horror as his dad was struck to death we need America to join this war that’s what we need thought Toby “were taking you to a death camp” said a tank driver so Toby was hauled into the trunk of a truck and put into a cell Toby got up and looked around

A guard walked in with a pile of striped clothes “you are to change into these and come out.” Toby did so. He was knocked to the ground

“You know why you’re here” Toby could not see who was talking to him but knew it was a guard he looked up and the guard dropped a sledge hammer on him “work!” he yelled Toby couldn’t lift the hammer. A perfectly careless guard hit him to his knees.

“Auuugg!” Toby yelled “apparently you are a week one you better be glad I’m not putting you in the gas chambers but I would believe you would be better at cooking we don’t care for cooking and we don’t have anything useful” the guard said “I will put you into the gas chamber if you don’t do it right.” and he shoved Toby into his cell.

Toby looked at a scrap of newspaper it barely told him anything but he read the heading

PEARL HARBOR ATACKED!!! AMERICA DECLARED INTO WAR

That was all Toby could clearly read a guard came in and said

“Come with me” Toby was lead to the kitchen where the guard told him to make soup out of whatever was on the table. He put some salt into the broth and gave it to the guard the guard took a spoon full of soup and spit it on Toby’s face.

“You’re going to the gas chambers” the guard said Toby and some others were loaded on a truck Toby looked at the security truck behind him. He wondered about heaven but suddenly his concentration broke, the truck flew into the air and burned to ashes Toby looked out the back of his truck an American army tank and 500 American troops were standing they took Toby out of the truck and into their truck.

Toby sat down on a bench a military agent came out

“You must listen well because you are in…” a top secret file I cannot tell you about “if you tell anyone about anything you here from this or the…” I cannot actually tell you what this is federal information

“Here is your password for the lab” the agent said he gave Toby a card that said: well it’s a secret code I cannot tell you it so I’ll just right ********* Toby went into the lab another agent said

“Your dad was part of a secret military plan and….” Toby cut him off

“My dad is dead” he said everyone in the room gasped a officer spoke up

“If we can keep the Nazis from advancing to…” A top secret sector “if we accomplish then we can possibly bomb the….” Classified German airbase “without reinforcements

General Dwight David Eisenhower spoke “That could work but we must send a spy down to find the German position”     

     “Yes’s” said a sergeant “then we could possibly…..”

“Agreed” The second general said

“Well what can I do” asked Toby

“Well we can’t let you out to the world or you could be bribed into telling anything you heard” said an officer “we can either put you in jail or use you for military missions”

“I think I’ll go with military” said Toby, Toby sat outside hearing just the mumble of high ranked military officials they decided to send Toby into the military when he was 20 Toby agreed and helped with several military conflicts until he was 20 he served in a few military missions and became an officer when he was 30, 10 years later he was asked to lead D-day.

He survived but was captured after 3-days of fighting.         

          But he was released after 500 Americans 300 British and 450 soviet troops attacked a top secret German military bay (just as they planned
