Candyland

By: Blake, 4th grade

Once there was a town called Candyland.  Everybody who lived there thought it was a very sweet, sweet town.

The sweets are Jolly Ranchers that are there to protect the town from evil things.  A year ago the sweets had thrown evil licorice and the giant vegetables in jail and ten months later they escaped.

There was a little bubblegum boy named, Bubble.  He was playing outside when he heard people talking in the woods.  He decided to play spy.  When he peered out of the grass he saw a tall black figure.  Bubble knew that black symbolized danger.  So he ran home and told his mom.  All his mother would say was, “Bubble stop making up stories, you know the only thing black in this town is the evil….”  She turned her head slowly away from Bubble, ran to the phone and dialed 911.

Finally when someone answered she yelled, “Get the sweets to go to the woods.  The evil licorice has escaped.  And hurry!”  She yelled.  She hung up the phone and ran upstairs to lock all the windows and doors.  When she came back downstairs she was holding her daughter, Bubbles.  Bubbles was Bubble’s little baby sister.  Bubble’s mother told him to sit down and about one hour later the phone rang and woke Bubble’s mother up.  She gently put Bubbles down and answered the phone.  When she hung up Bubble woke up and she told him that they were safe now.  The sweets had caught evil licorice and his warriors, the vegetables.  The sweets immediately threw them in jail.
