A Day in the Life of a Superhero

            BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP my alarm clock seemed to scream as it pulled me out of my sleep. “Ugh” I sleepily murmured as I lazily felt around the table next to my bed which had seemly endless plates and cups, where I knew somewhere there seemed to be my alarm clock. When I finally wacked my alarm clock to shut it off I looked up to see a hole in my wall and my alarm in the neighbor backyard. “Darn super strength” I murmured under my breath. I rolled out of bed and floated downstairs since my legs hurt and I still hadn’t done my mourning “power” stretches.

            “At least there’s something besides fame super powers are good for.” I said to myself. When I slowly flew into the kitchen I saw my partner “captain captain.” “Why is it your called captain captain again?” I asked “That’s not important” he exclaimed “ there’s trouble and only one man can stop it, Super Gy and Captain Captain!” As the Captain ran to the bathroom to change into his super suit I grabbed a dounut from its box and stuffed it in my mouth and checked the news. “This is Bob Thang reporting to all you in TV land that a robbery is happening at the downtown bank of our great city Cityville! Super Gy has been called but has not been seen at the moment!” After he said that my eyes drifted to the window to see the Gy symbol in the sky.

            When Captain Captain finally “heroically” jumped out of the bathroom I had already gotten my suit on waiting at the door. “Let’s go put a halt to EVIL” exclaimed Captain Captain. “Do we have to” I complained “Why of course” he answered “race you to the Gy car!” he said in that stupid excited tone I always hated “don’t push your luck” I said. When I got in the car we only had to drive four miles to the bank where the robbery had happened. “Try not to embarrass me again like last time when the muggers only disguise was ‘I’m not a mugger’” I said “Hey, I didn’t expect clothing to lie!” he exclaimed. I jumped out of the car just as the gang of robbers ran out of the bank and one ran straight into me.

            “Listen” I explained “its way too early for this so can you please go back to your hideout or whatever and try this in the afternoon” but of course the second after I said that they started shooting at me. As the bullets bounced off my titanium hard skin I slowly walked toward the first two guys and slammed the skulls into each others. Then I grabbed my partner and tossed him into a group of those baddies and while he beat the snot out of them I took the robber who was foolish enough to run up to me and try to bash his gun against me I grabbed the front of the gun and crushed it in my hand. “Try shooting me” I dared “just try, see what happens to your face.” After that he just ran away for his life. “Uh, Super Gy I, I, I could use some help over here!” shouted Captain Captain I took one of the robbers on the ground and threw him straight into the remaining robbers just as the police arrived. “What took you so long” I asked to the cops “We don’t have super powers you know” said the chief of police. “We’ll take it from here” he explained “Of course you will cause now I’ve done all the work for you” I murmured.

            After that I and the captain drove home. “Wasn’t that exciting!” said the Captain. “No” was all I said while we drove home. Just before we got home we saw an old lady crying beneath a tree. “let me guess, Mittens is up in a tree again” I said in a bored tone, the old lady simply told me “yes strong man” “Oh come on, that’s the third time this week” I shouted. I stepped out of the car and just picked up the tree and shook it a bit… cat didn’t come out a bit more… no cat… then I just shook it so hard it broke in half. “oh miss I am soooo sorry about your cat” I quickly apologized “ a cat… oh yeah Mr. Mittens… he’s at my house” I waited a moment and just got in the car and drove home in silence. At the end of the day I got into bed. But then, “goodnight Gy, can’t wait until tomorrow” Captain Captain exclaimed. I cried myself to sleep again. I CAN wait until tomorrow
