Part 3……………………………………………………………….

Chapter 1………………………………………………………………………..Finally dead

Crom rolled to the side just as the giant spider was a foot from him and accidently hit the stone wall with a skeleton arm sticking out of it. Crom scrambled to his feet and reached for a sword blindly only grabbing a rather small knife. The spider stood back up and cast a stare at Crom with such hate in his eyes a chill went down Crom’s spine. He held the knife backwards charging at the spider not about to let it regain its strength for another attack. He lunged at the spider and thrust the knife into the spider’s spinal cord and twisted and ran it through the spider’s spine ignoring all the blood and bone spurting out as he repeatedly stabbed the spider. The spider let out a terrible screech as he finished the spider’s misery by picking it up, with his knife still impaling the beast, threw it into a near-by stalagmite causing fountains more of the creatures black blood all over Crom and the cave he was in. Crom Ross’ heart rate started to slowly slow down as the spider’s legs finally started to lower and it’s eyes close as Crom slowly slid the knife out of the stab wound in the spider running into and breaking a rib as he pulled the knife out.  Crom stood back up and continued down the hall way where near a couple turns and corners he saw a door with a skeleton standing up holding a sword wearing a helmet.

“Are you worthy…?” The skeleton asked Crom. Crom responded with a low “I killed the spiders didn’t I? Now, I don’t care if your dead, I’ll kill you again if you don’t get out of my way NOW!” Crom charged at the skeleton and hacked at the skeleton’s ribs but the skeleton was too fast and deflected Crom’s attack and easily punched Crom’s left check bone and sent him soaring straight into the wall as he slammed into the wall and his nose started to bleed. Crom slide to the Ground, turned over, cursed, and stumbled to his feet. Crom lunged at the skeleton again trying to have better luck this time around but this time the skeleton simply grabbed Crom and threw him backwards into a pile of bones. Crom’s bloody nose’s blood was all over Crom’s shirt only adding to the blood body suit he was already wearing.

Crom got up on one knee and was sweating and bleeding up a storm. He thought out a strategy but instantly rejected it. Crom stood up and walked towards the skeleton and told him. “King Arthur has sent me to retrieve the sword in the stone after his death so that I may become the next king so that the kingdom may always have a king.” “You are worthy…” responded the skeleton as it steeped to the side. Crom thanked him, snickering on the inside at himself on why he had not thought of this before and continued into the castle. However on the way he picked up a machete (he thought he might need it) and put it in a leather handbag he found right outside the door. Crom opened the wooden door and looked around the castle in awe for he saw huge stone statues, marble columns, knight’s armor and weapons decorating the court along with beast skulls and of course, seemingly endless puddles of blood, filth, and skeletons. Crom slowly walked out trying to observe the gorgeous scenery for any booby traps. There seemed to be no traps on this section of the castle so Crom decided to hurry along and try to investigate the scene for anything that could lead him to the sword. He saw a scroll hanging on a wall next to a moldy wooden door to his left out of the slit of his eye and went towards it to see if it had anything that could help him in finding the sword and saw it was in the form of a riddle…

What is engraved in stone for an eternity and a half that brings nothing but right, dreams, and the past but is able to be seen by all?

Chapter 2………………………………………………………………….The Book of Peace

Crom was puzzled, what the heck was whoever made this riddle talking about? Crom had an idea and tried it; he went to the library and searched each book for an idea on the east corner or the ‘right’ corner. He was so close to giving up before he saw a strange blue book with its pages with their designs that looked like gears… but they were MOVING! Crom was amazed and picked up the blue book staring at the white gear illustrations in front of the endless blue sea MOVING lifelike and nonstop, almost like a machine. Crom looked at the cover

‘The Book of peace’

Chapter 3……………………………………………………….Closing the book

Crom flipped through its pages finding nothing but moving gears. In anger Crom slammed the book shut but as soon as he did that it seemed that the whole world shook! The ground beneath him cracked, the windows shattered, the books flew off their shelves, the sky turned black, and the castle seemed to be falling apart along with the large gear on the back of the book STOP turning. Crom sprinted out of the library but tripped on an uprooting root. Crom fell to the ground as he tried to escape and as he fell the book dropped and open and the instant it was opened everything stopped and the gears in and on the book started up again.

“Holy… did that… did it… is that what caused the….” Crom stared at the book and blinked at it stupidly, dumbstruck, and confused. ‘How could a simple book maintain peace in the world-… oh… that’s why they call it the book of peace…’ Crom thought to himself. He got up and looked up to the gate and there he saw a two titanium swords jammed into the very top beside a trap door on either side that looked identical Click to view image detailsto each other. Crom hurried and made Click to view image details

His way up the up protruding stones sticking out of the sides of the tower, after he put the book of peace back in its rightful place in the library, nearly falling off every time that he saw a spider web for every time he saw a spider web he freaked out and jumped to a different stone. (Better safe than sorry I guess but wouldn’t jumping off of one stone to the other be just as dangerous if your 60 feet off the ground!)

After 25 min of continuous climbing Crom finally got to the top of the right tower and laid flat on his back in exhaustion. He nearly shouted a cuss word when he saw that Raven had just come up in a helicopter and was walking out laughing at Crom.

Chapter 4………………………………………………………………why wont you die?!?

“Ho ho ho ho ha ha ho ha! Oh, did you honestly climb up this tower! HA HA HA! Anyway how did you get out?”

“Why should… pant pant… tell, you…pant pant” Crom (best as he could) snapped at Raven.

“Ooooooo sassy today aren’t we? Joe can you come out here for a second and help me carry this sword in the heli hmmmm?”Joe walked out and scolded at Crom.

“First you try to hi-jack Raven’s jet, then you escape an island full of guards and cameras and even some starving coyotes, then you climb this whole 65  foot tower and I don’t want to know what traps you’ve run into you fool. You STILL don’t get why it is I’m doing this, DO YOU! I’m doing this because all that you EVER think about is yourself and your ‘adventures’.”

Crom stared at Joe in disbelief, ‘did he just stand up to me… wow… he has grown…’ Crom thought to himself starting to stand up reaching in his leather handbag and grabbed his machete keeping it still inside the bag as he pretended to back off. Just as Raven got close to the sword Crom threw the machete straight at Ravens throat and sprinted at the sword. Raven ducked, grabbed the machete, and clashed swords with Crom, steel on steel only 3 seconds after Crom pulled the sword from its rocky tomb.
