A Night in the North Pole.

“Grandma tell me a story please.” Emily said as she was being tucked in.

“Of course Emily id love too. How about the time I met Santa?”

        “Yeah!”Emiy said

Morgan sat watching the clear raindrops fall on her New York apartment window. It was gathering so quickly when Morgan’s mother, Beth, called her to dinner.

“Mother when does Santa come?” Morgan asked. It was Christmas night and you can’t really blame a child like Morgan Anderson for wondering. She’s the type of six year old who has to now everything.

“Well sweet pea Santa only comes when you’re sleeping. Haven’t you heard the song about Santa?” Beth started humming a song with a dreamy look on her face.

Morgan had already eaten her food and cleaned up.

She was sitting in front of the gleaming Christmas tree. The tree was decorated in green, reds, blues and gold’s. There were ornaments hung on the big branches.

“What did you get me for Christmas daddy?” Morgan asked with a cent of puzzlement in her voice. She was still staring at the gifts wrapped in sparkling paper when her father replied.

“Deary im not allowed to tell you sweetie.”

“But why?” Morgan said whining

“Cause hes not nitwit.”Greogory here big brother said with a mouthful of chicken.

“Bed time!” her father said

Morgan couldn’t sleep that night. She tossed and turned in her small little bed. Finally she climbed over the small guard rales of her bed. She was heading for the Christmas tree to see if Santa had come. He didn’t. She decided to sit down and wait. Little did she now she was going to drift a sleep. She woke up and heard something flying forwards the house. Suddenly a sleigh with a big sack of toys and a big fat man dressed in red fell through the roof. Then powder flew out of his hands and the hole was fixed. Morgan Then Slipped into the bag of toys.

When Morgan got out of the bag she found herself in a room of people with pointy ears and hats that were about her size. One of them came over and said “Who or what are you?” Morgan sat speechless but the expression on her face seemed to say where am I? Then the big fat man came over and said “now who are you?”

Morgan worked up all her courage and all that came out was “uh um im Morgan, Morgan Anderson. Where am I?”

“Well you’re in the north pole.Santas workshop to be exact. Were did you come from?”

“I climbed into you’re bag when you fell through my roof.”

“Ah.” Well I’m Santa and I guess it’s up to me to getcha home. Come with me.” Morgan sat up and followed him.  She wound up in a room where the sleigh that crashed through her roof was.

“Get in.” said Santa.

Morgan climbed in. She noticed that the bag of toys wasn’t in there and the seats were leather. On the seat there seemed to be the wordssantas pride.

“Hang on kid” said Santa and they flew off. Morgan sat watching the reindeer fly through the sky.Theyre bells made the sweetest noise as they glided through the sky.

Morgan looked down and saw what seemed to be an ocean of blue icing. Candy fish jumped out and morgonns brain was trying to scream I want to go home but her mouth just couldn’t speak. Finally she said

“Pardon me Mr. Santa but um were are we?”

Well some where in the middle of the pacific icing. Do yourself a favor don’t look back down.”

Suddenly the sleigh started falling and they landed in all the icing. Santa pulled out a phone and dialed a nuber. He then mumbled something into the phone.

“Somebody’s coming to pick us up. Hang tight.” They sat there until a big red carpet came to them. The genie on it said

“Where to sir?”  He asked.

“Santa’s workshop if you will.” said Santa. Santa helped Morgan get on the carpet. With amazement in her eyes Morgan climbed on the carpet and fell asleep. When she awoke she was on a big bed. Her pillow was made out of cotton candy and her blanket was made out of taffy. The posts of her beds were made out of candy canes and the mattress was made out of chocolate.

“I must be in Hansel and grettles world.” Morgan whispered she climbed out of the candy bed and into the door leading to a room of toys. Santa was putting o his red coat and walking towards the room she was supposed to be sleeping in. She quickly ran and jumped back in bed. Santa walked towards her and said

“Time to go home kid!” he said in a joyful voice like his normal voice sounded like. He picked her up put him in a new sleigh with reindeers attached with gold bells instead of silver.

“Where do you think we are?” Santa said

“I don’t know where are we?” Morgan asked puzzled

“Were in New York City. Infact were about ready to see your apartment. Would you like to look in your window?”

“Yes Mr. Santa I would indeed.” Morgan said nodding her head. They came up to the window and her family was there. Everyone was worried even her no good brother Gregory was there worried. Beth was sobbing and crying out

“Where’s my little girl.” Her father was comforting Beth. Morgan turned to Santa and told him to take her home. They drove to the front door of the apartment building. Morgan got out and ran for the door but just before she got inside she turned around and said

“Thank you Santa!” But he was no where to be found.

“Where’s my baby girl?” Beth sobbed when the door burst open. Morgan sat there with her hand looking about ready to knock.

“Hi.” She said. Beth ran over and hugged her.

“Oh I missed you are you okay did anything bad happen?”

“Mom I can’t breath can open my presents now?”

“Yes oh of course.” said beth Morgan dove into the pile of prsants. Then all of a sudden she put a hand to her ear

“What’s that?”

“What’s what dear” said Beth

“Those bells!” she ran to a window Santa Santa he’s here!!” she cried with her eyes big and wide. It was Santa.

The end

“How do you know all this grandma?” Emily asked

“Because I was that girl Emily. Good night.” Then Morgan left the room with only a blink she left.
