    The great sphinx of Giza is a symbol that shows the essence of Egypt for thousands of years. The great sphinx is carved from bedrock of Giza platoe the sphinx is truly a mysterious marvel from days of Ancient Egypt. Many people for years thought that the sphinx had hidden secrets inside of it. No one knows what the Sphinx means Egyptians thought that it meant living image.

          Did you know in 15th century Muslim troops cut of the sphinx’s nose because of religion?   The sphinx wears a head clothe that is a symbol of royalty His beard was found in the sand beneath its head. The paws are 50 feet long. The head is 30 feet long, 14 feet wide. All together it is 150 feet wide.
