Meet the Teacher Mrs. Mudd is the KERA Preschool teacher at Dixie Elementary. She has been at Dixie since 1991. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Eastern Kentucky University as well as a Montessori certification . General Information The Early Start program at Dixie is in session 5 half days a week, except for Professional Development , Records/Conference days and home visit days. There are two sessions at Dixie. The morning session is from 7:45 to 10:45 and the afternoon session is from 11:35 to 2:35 Registration Parents may register for the Early Start Program in the Spring and Summer, prior to the eligible school year. You may register at the school or at It's A bout Kids Support Services Office. When going to register, you will need to bring the child's state birth certificate, social security card, immunization certificate, school physical , eye exam certificate and proof of income.
