News letter December 1, 2007 A Note from Mrs. Mudd Where is this school year going? It is hard to believe that we are coming upon the end of the first half of our school year. As I reflect back, I can see the children growing in size as well as knowledge. This past month we talked about Sports and Pets. While covering the topic of sports we learned how to ask basic and simple questions as well as how to learn about a topic through projects. One group wanted to know what was inside of balls and yet another group wanted to know about cheerleading. This was a new approach to teaching that I have been learning more about. I was very pleased with our learning outcomes! Thanks to all who came out in support of our Early Start Family Story Time!! Thanks to Diane Warren, Deana McLean, Aleshia Foley, Jeanena Bates and Shanel Holman for volunteering to be our story readers for the first part of the school year. The children have also start going to special classes on a regular basis. They are enjoying it so much. I have attached a copy of our special class rotation. It is a little confusing. We have a 6 day rotation of classes. Today was day 5 in the rotation, Monday will be day 6, Tuesday will be day1, etc. If you have any questions please ask. See the note below about our Winter Celebration. That will be coming up before winter break. I would like to say in closing that I have had so much fun working with your child. I can’t wait to see what the second half of the school year will bring!

You can help us out by sending in two dollars to help cover the cost of the craft and the snack as soon as possible.
