News letter A note from Mrs. Mudd November 1, 2007 At this time of year we often reflect on all that we are thankful for. First and foremost we are so thankful to have such a wonderful group of children to work with. They bring a smile to our faces every day!! Second, thanks to each one of you for your support!! You have gotten involved in your child’s early years of education and that is what matters most. Lastly, I would personally like to thank Mrs. Jones for her continued support as well as my co-teacher, Mrs. Carter! She is not only kind but she is a hard working person that cares deeply about the well being of each and every child! Thank you, Mrs. Carter Thanks to all parents who supported our class basket (Kitchen theme) that will be in the silent auction at the Fall Festival! I look forward to seeing you at school on Monday evening as well as to see how much money we will raise for our PTA. Please take a look in your child’s back pack on a daily basis. We have been making and having to send home more important papers. It is now time to switch out the summer clothes for the winter clothes that are kept in your child’s back pack. The children feel more comfortable when they can change into their own clothes from home. Our themes for the month- November 1thru 16 All about Balls (continued) November 19th thru 30th Pets Our guinea pigs are in need of a home during the Thanksgiving break. If you would be interested in caring for our class pets please call or send a note to Mrs. Mudd. See contact information below. The Arts and Humanities Homework Bags have been a big hit!! If your child has not brought it home don’t worry it will be coming home soon! The children think of these back packs as their home work. Here is a reminder on how it works. On the last day of the week your child will bring home the kit. The parent and child play with the kit together, instructions are included in the bag but feel free to be creative! Keep the bag for one week; look at the check list to make sure that everything is in the bag and return to school on the last day of the week. Please continue to send in “Coupons” from the coupon book that was in your home visit bag. Please ask if you have any questions on the items listed above! Dixie Family Resource Center Did you know that they have books and videos on parenting issues that you can check out? Ms. Clark has some good things!! Stop by and check out our Family Resource Center.
