AGENDA BOOKS

The CoolCat Team will be using the Student Agendas this year to help students stay organized and prepared.  Classroom assignments will be posted in each teacher's room.  It will be the student's responsibility to write down their assignments in their agenda books.  Teachers will most likely remind students to write down their homework, but it will be up to the student to follow through.

Black Cat Time

BlackCat Time will be held during our lunch time this year, which is 5th Hour 12:05 to 12:56.  We will be focusing on organizational skills, social skills, anti-bullying lessons, and character education.  Students will earn a participation grade for BlackCat Time.  This grade is primarily based on the student's participation in the activities that we will complete throughout the school year and returning signed forms (mid-terms and report cards). 

Science Lab Fee

A $5.00 Science Lab Fee will be due at the end of the second week of school.  The science department requires this fee in order to supply our classrooms with the essential materials and supplies it takes to lead a lab intensive program.  At the 7th grade level, for example, we will be dissecting at the end of the year!  The students can't wait for that one!!  Many of our activities are expensive, and we would not otherwise be able to offer as many hands-on experiences without the additional fee.    Thank you for your support!

Discipline Notices

LTMS is moving forward with a school wide discipline plan.  Your child will bring home information regarding our PRO plan during their first days at school.  PRO is a reward program that allows students to participate in a fun and exciting 6 week incentive.  When a student has a disciplinary issue they will be given a strike.  Consequences are administered for the number of strikes a student receives within the 6 week period.  There is constant communication between parents, students, and teachers.
