**********************PowerPoint Jeopardy 2.0******************
This was created in 1998, so there may be other versions available throughout
the internet, but the directions are basically the same.
This version now is completely functional. The dollar amounts disappear after
returning to the screen!
What you need
Computer
Some sort of projection device or computer-TV hookup
PowerPoint 97 or higher (honestly, I haven't tried it on lower versions
A little bit of time
Sound card enabled (not required but really cool!)
How to play.
Open the file and start the slide show. The first 7 slides are automatic, just
watch them. They will introduce the game and the categories. The game board will
appear. You choose the question that you want by clicking directly on the dollar
amount. Usually a different cursor will appear to show that you are on the right
spot. That will take you to the question. After the student answers the
question, you can return to the board by once again clicking directly on the
text. After you have covered all of the questions, you can go to final jeopardy
by clicking on the green oval in the upper right hand corner of the board. That
will take you to the final category. Another click will take you to the question
and the song. After time is up, you can show the answer with another click.
How to edit the game.
Every bit of text is created with WordArt, except the dollar amounts which are
created with a text box. You can edit the Wordart by double clicking directly on
top of the text, or by right clicking and selecting edit text. For example, the
first text is CATEGORY 1. put the cursor directly on the C and double click and
then type the name you want to be there. Same goes with the questions, and even
the dollar amounts. Foreign language teachers might want to change it to Francs,
pesos, euros etc.
This game is free, just enjoy it. A thank you note (if you like it) is all I
ask. Direct any questions to mhamlyn@fayette.k12.ky.us. Enjoy!!!!
