Membership in the Symphonic Band is by audition or permission of the Director. The ensemble meets during the A4 block. Advanced credit is awarded to students who participate in Marching Band due to the increased workload required as a result of after school rehearsals and performances. Students cover the KY core content in music through performance of wind band literature. Students learn the individual and ensemble techniques required to perform successfully. Students perform several concerts and are required to participate in Solo/Ensemble Festival, or audition for All-District / All-State Bands, or various honor band clinics offered at local universities.
