Percussion Ensemble @ Bryan Station

Membership in the Percussion Ensemble is by audition or permission of the Director.  Students are required to be a member of the Marching Band and receive advanced credit for the additional co-curricular responsibilities of the class.  The ensemble meets during the A3 block.  Students cover the KY core content in music through performance of wind band and other percussion literature. Students learn the individual and ensemble techniques required to perform successfully. Students perform several concerts and are required to participate in Solo/Ensemble Festival, or audition for All-District / All-State Bands, or various honor band clinics offered at local universities.

Grades are calculated using the following formula:

35% - Participation
50% - Performances, written and playing exams
10% - Practice Log/Homework
 5% - Final Exam
