The Lexington Public Schools Boys Soccer League
(BSL),
was created
by the head coaches of the five (5) public schools' boys soccer programs.
While the origins of the league go back to the 1970/80's with the Central
Kentucky Soccer Conference
(CKSC),
the BSL began in the early 1990's and has gone through various
member and name changes to its current format which began with the 2000
season. The league is one of the most competitive in the state since
the 2000 season producing , 2 State Champions (P. L. Dunbar '01 & '05), 1
State Runner-Up (Henry Clay '00), 3 programs achieving the #1 State
Ranking (Henry Clay, P. L. Dunbar, & Tates Creek), and numerous Top-10
appearances. The league continues to grow in support and to create a
community awareness of high school boys soccer and to give our particular
student-athletes the recognition they deserve.
