Activity 2: In this activity, you are to read the scenario and then rewrite it from the point of view of Tom and Leslie. Remember: you, the author, are showing the feelings, thoughts and reactions of each character to the given situation. You will have two 1st person paragraphs.

It is 8:15 and Sarah is standing at her opened locker gazing into the mirror she has glued to the inside of her locker door. As she makes sure that no remnants of her morning breakfast remain on her perfect smile, she sees that Tom is talking to Leslie in the middle of the congested hallway. Turning around to get a closer look, Sara begins seething.
Man, I can't believe Tom would even look at her twice.  Obviously he
doesn't remember when Leslie came to school.  That girl wouldn't even have
survived had it not been for me.  I took her under my wing and did a
complete makeover, you know, like Sher in that movie Clueless.  She was
wearing some clothes that were so screaming '80's.'  Oh, and don't even get
me started on the hair and those nasty shoes!  I mean, Hello? When did those
nasty chucks come back in style?  Thank you, they didn't!  Now, I can't
actually believe that she has the nerve to be flirting with the guy she
knows I want to ask me to homecoming.  That really bites!  Forget a
bunch of this; he is going to ask me t o homecoming, mark my words.

What is Tom's point of view? Leslie's? To begin writing, minimize the browser and open up a word document.  When you have finished, hit the print button once.

Activity 2 Challenge: Rewrite the scenario in Omniscient point of view and then in Third Person Limited from Leslie's or Tom's point of view.
